Converting New Visitors to Returning, Regular Visitors

One of the most excruciating tasks of running a blog is to get your visitors and transform them into return visitors who come back to your blog on a regular basis. While there are many ways to achieve this step, most bloggers always struggle with this. This blog itself is fairly new but I have managed and help run other blogs
before and I know what you need to do to make your one time visitors into regular, returning visitors.

There are hundreds of people online running blogs, and only a few of them are running it successfully. The internet is full of useful and informative content and this is one of the main reasons why you should work hard on making your visitors return. However, in order to achieve this step you need to be someone who writes of exceptional quality and you need to provide visitors with content which they find helpful. This is the key to making them return. Your first impression counts and you never get the chance for a second impression.

1 – Content

Ensure your content is up to date and very informative. You need to invest all your creativity into providing quality content that will make your visitors stay on your website for as much time as possible, and more importantly, return. Having good information and good articles with relevant images always increases the chances of your visitors returning as they have a good impression of you, and your blog. Visitors expect to read something useful when they arrive at your website, and you need to ensure that you provide something useful. You need to differentiate yourself from the hundreds of other bloggers online. Do something they don’t do.

2 – Feedback

Have a contact form on your website, or have a page where visitors can contact you and ask you of any questions. This allows your audience to be more at home, and it gives them a much better feeling and thus will return to your blog occasionally. Grab their feedback and opinions on how you can improve your blog – and then most importantly, listen to that feedback. Your visitors will feel more appreciated when you write your next post based on the feedback you got – and ultimately, you build a much better and stronger relationship.

3 – Engage With Your Visitors

Having a good blog will result in many comments from your visitors. If a question is being asked in a comment, always aim to answer it to your fullest knowledge. This gives the commenter an impression that you are someone with a lot of knowledge, and also someone who takes their time to help out another who is in need of help. Engage with your visitors and build a strong relationship with them.
