Creating A Sucessful Internet Marketing Plan

If you run an online business, or if you are an owner of a small and fairly new business, then having a good Internet Marketing plan in place can help with your brand recognition, awareness and popularity. You can attract a whole new level of clients from all over the world, and you can kick start your business and make it
into something much bigger, all with a decent, professional Internet Marketing plan.

1 – What is your objective?

By doing Internet Marketing, what factors do you want to accomplish and achieve? This could be,

a) Selling services or tangible products

b) Providing extended services to existing clients

c) Finding new leads and clients

You will need to focus on your objective, and find out what you want to achieve! Having a goal or target will definitely help you out in the long run and will make your marketing much more effective.

2 – Who is your competition?

In order to enforce and make your Internet Marketing plan stronger, you need to know where you stand amongst your competitors. Do some research and find out the details of your top 10 competition. Examine their websites and then compare it with yours, stating positive things about their website and also negatives. Check if your competition adds and does something unique, which you don’t. Be sure to check their Alexa ranking and see where they stand amongst the world, and you can see from this what you need to do in order to beat this website. Ther will be some flaws and gaps in your competitors sites, and you need to make sure you don’t have the same on your business website.

3 – Who is your audience?

We all want to get many sales and many clients, but targeting everyone simply wont work. Find a easy and relevant audience / target to aim at, and locate it. Split the group down into different cases such as,

a) Age group

b) Are they male or female?

c) Hobbies?

d) Similarities

e) Can they afford your product / service?

Learn and examine your target market and you will be able to get more clients or sales easily.

4 – How simple is your website?

Your website should be very appealing, and attractive to the human eye. It should not be full of exploding colors splashing on the screen, but instead a simple, clean and attractive theme or style. Your content should be extremely relevant to what your website is based on, and all keywords should be optimized perfectly.

If you are selling certain services, always explain the advantages and benefits if someone purchases that service themselves. You want to grab the clients into buying! You need to make your website something which the target audience will visit again, and again regularly. Collect their emails by giving away an asset – something which they can get in return for subscribing to you.

5 – How do you bring in traffic?

You need to ensure that your traffic are quality, and not junk. Someone could easily purchase 50,000 fake traffic but there is no point in that. You need traffic which is able to convert, and make you money. You can try PPC (Pay per click) advertising where you pay for your advertising to appear on certain pages relevant to your keyword. You can drive traffic by writing well written and detailed newsletters which invites and brings in traffic to your website on a regular occasion.
